your converter may not be doing its job and the aft sensor can be sensing that. adjectives the converter off will not breed the sensor read correctly. it is also illegal contained by some states to remove the converter. it isnt where i live i run lacking a converter in my truck and disregard the desk light..
No, you need 02 sensors even if you remove the converters. the converters could be stopped up cause you all your trouble, I would remove them first and put a tryout pipe in within place, to be sure!
