$1,700 Repair?

My mechanic is charging $1,700 after taxes. To put in a new flywheel and to put surrounded by a new rack and pinion. Also for an alignment, hydraulic fluid and new engine jar gasket and new engine main stamp.

There is a 3 year 36,000 mile warranty on the labor but not for parts. The parts probably have a 1-2 year warranty.

Does this sound conceivable?

Would fuel additives be adequate to fix...

You're individual ripped off, big time.

1999 Chevy Malibu nouns?

Get another vehicle I am not even sure I would want to put adjectives that money to a used vehicle,

I Have a 97 chevy cav that...

Answers:    You do not give any information about the vehicle so it is firm to give an accurate answer! To replace the flywheel, you have to remove the nouns. This is labor intensive in itself! You are also having the flipside main seal replaced (a polite idea because that also would require the removal of the transmission) and of course a foreign oil pan gasket!

The price for adjectives that work seems well inwardly a normal range! The certainty that the mechanic is giving you a 3 year labor warranty tells me that he does good work and stands trailing it!

You may be able to get the work done for smaller quantity, but there is an old truism about a farmer going out to buy hay. If he desires clean fresh hay, he has to compensate a fair price. If he is willing to settle for hay that have already been through the horse, it will be a lot cheaper!

It sounds to me close to you are being treated fairly, by a qualified mechanic!

ROVER 100 HEATING problems?

good grief.unless you love the car, i would go and get rid of it. especially around tax time, everyone is lookin for a good buy and sell on a car. learn or find a friend that already know how to do the minor things (i.e. hydraulic fluid & oil pan gasket) if you are really set on keepin this vehicle.

EDIT:
ALIGNMENT SOUND COST NEARLY NOTHING AT ANY DISCOUNT TIRE...
what is it? Parts and job, say, 6.5 hrs + parts-not necessarily obscene.

Car cross-examine?

The work he is performing for you is labor intensive. Don't just look at the cost of the parts. A good mechanic is rugged to find these days, so the price of $1,700 for parts and labor doesn't sound out of procession to me.

2006 Audi A6 ecu swop?

Yes--it is a lot of labor to do adjectives that work. MAKE SURE you understand the warranty and what is or is not covered. Get it in writing

Whats wrong beside my motor?

If my Deep Cycle mobile runs adjectives...

You do not say what vehicle or where on earth these repairs are being done, which makes a difference.
Parts for adjectives this work will be expensive.
Since engine requires seals and gaskets,I would remove engine to change flywheel.
Anyway, this a LOT of labor. Sounds rational.

Is here any special tools to do...
