The engine has be rebuilt and the head have be redone, the valve are original. It have a crane cam 290 dur, at 512 lift. I have it running and it started to tick on and off. Then it be a sloppy tick. I removed the intake manifold and spout cover and noticed exhaust spigot was stuck down. I pried it support up and started again but it did it again. The question is "what could own made this valve bend, could it own been overadvancement on the distribuator? I own crane valve springs that fiddle with up to 600 lift, crane lifters and brand new rockers so thats not the problem.
Answers: Not likely. That would burn a piston due to detonation, but not stick a spout. Most likely any a lifter pumped up on you a piston bang the valve. or here is an oiling problem and the spigot stuck. Look at the sides of the valve stem after you verbs it out. If there are grades or discoloration in the guide wear nouns, think overheating or want of lubrication to that area of the skipper. If no damage, mull over about getting anti-pump up lifters. Crane make em, as do many others. This help to avoid those high rpm mishaps. You may even longing to use some putty and do a test build and spin the engine by appendage to see the actual clearance, not just rely on the abstract, between the valves and the pistons. If the head have be milled, and the block has be decked, you could be a lot closer than you reflect.....
I don't think you hold a bent valve.Just a spout sticking in the guide.Whoever did your cylinder pave the way work did not do such a good undertaking. The only route a vale is gonna bend is if it hits the top of the piston.Your cam is legally mild so i wouldn't think stopcock reliefs would even be necessary within the tops of the pistons.Either way,if it be a cam lift issue it should be within every cylinder, not just one.The distributor advance/retard is going to effect ignition with the sole purpose. It has nought to do with anything your have a problem with.Bottom flash is heads gotta come posterior off and turn to machine shop that know whats up.
Sounds like it oughtta be a pretty nice electrical device.I know this sucks, anyone who messes with cars know sooner or later it will offer you trouble, just don't seize discouraged and give up.
