Answers: the freestyle may be shot. have a shop do a freestyle test on it. Replace it and it will be fine.
I'd suggest taking it to a shop tomorrow and have it diagnosed properly rather than throwing parts at it hoping to fix the problem and spending money for no fix. It could be the freestyle, cable ends, cables corroded, starter, or alternator.
