i have a 1986 trans am 5.0 fuel injected i put a latest fuel pump in it and it still wont start if i spray starter fluid contained by the throttle it starts then dies if i push the stopcock in the fuel banister while cranking the motor i get unbelievably little too no gas or pressure what could be the problem
Answers: Turn the key to the on position. You should be capable of hear the fuel pump come on for about 2 second then shut stale. If you don't hear anything then you will hold to determine if the ECM is energizing the fuel pump relay or if there is a problem elsewhere within the circuit. A fuel pressure gauge would be handy of late to eliminate any potential problems near fuel pressure regulation.
