i have a 1995 ford taurus (3.8 ltr) and on real cold mornings it doesnt close to to start. the engine turns over sluggish and it takes alot to get it going. once i win it started if i drive to the store and turn it off, when i come back out it doesnt wanna start again. ussually a apt jump or a battery charger can capture it to start again, so i decided to put a new mobile in it and i put a optima gel cell battery within it to try and fix the issue. well this morning i went out and the engine still refuse to start. it cranks over fast, but just wont start. Two differant dealer have tried to fix the probelm and one refuses to look at it anymore. im at my wits finale and im looking for answers. if anyone can help i would be very healthy
listen for initial fuel pump run it only lasts in the order of 3 seconds at key on. it is promising the pump only comes on after oil pressure builds. check fuel pump relay and safekeeping switch

Answers: I'd find a reputable repair facility in your area that employ ase master certified technicians and have it checked out there. You might want to drop it sour the night before so they can be the first to start it surrounded by the morning and diagnose the problem correctly. Sounds to me that you took it to the dealership and waited for the car to be looked at and they couldn't duplicate the problem because it wasn't first point in the morning.

You could install an Engine block heater for below $100 and it should solve all your problems. Also you could change the grease. Use synthetic, or semi-synthetic, if you can. It will be thinner, especially when cold. making it easier for your car to turn over. I had to do that to my Dodge Dakota second winter, it was -30 F in Kenai Alaska and it started right up after that. Another item that could be happening, is the started got frozen, hit it near a hammer/wrench while turning it over.
