1998 Ford Taurus, 3 question?

Hello, I am doing both head gaskets on my friends 98 taurus, I call for to know if the heads themselves are style iron or aluminum. They look cast iron but I dont want to hold a wire brush to them and next scream #&$%(a)!! 2nd give somebody the third degree is does anyone know the correct pattern and torque for the intake compound? and lastly would anyone happen to know the torque needed on the rocker arms?
Thanks for any assistance

Car and freestyle?

Answers:    if it is the 3.0 OHV (Vulcan) the heads are form iron
if it is the 3.0 or 3.8 24valve it is aliumiunumy stuff
the cast head love to crack on the exhaust side from the water jacket to the bolt hole.
aluminum loves to crack from the center 2 intake to exhaust spigot.
Go to autozone .com info all of the twistey ft/lb are tabled for free.
In any event if they are not cracked burnt etc, build sure that they are less than .007 for flatness.

Is in that a engine governor on...

if you don't know this beforehand you start or unsure of yourself, then you should of hired someone to do it for you. by the bearing they are cast and you can progress to autozone and they should be able to speak about you the torque specs for the rocker
