1998 gmc 4x4 . brakes? can anyone facilitate?

the bakes are new and so are the rotors. squeeks and delicately grinds in the drivers side front (sometimes) then quits. the bearing are still tight with very little play at adjectives. almost no play.when i hear the squeak i try to apply the brake to listen for the noise to increase, but it dosen't effect the noise at adjectives. could it be the old calipers or cv boot (half shaft for the 4 wheel drive) the rotors on the drivers side are alot hotter than the passenger side. the problem is i don't know if the cv boot will effect the rotor to become warmer if it is going out. or the caliper is hanging up. twice i feel a slight pull twards the drivers side. please help

Heater core??

sounds similar to lt.ft.caliper sticking alittle.
When you mount the caliper, you need to lube the 2 bolts that hold it in place so that the caliper can slide freely, if the bolt sleeves are dry, it will incentive the caliper to hang.

Answers:    I would look at the passenger side caliper. It may be sticking and not applying as much pressure as the drivers side. Did you do the brakes? Sometimes the dust shield get bent and starts scrubbing on the rotor. I would check both front rotors, inside and outside, to see if there are any signs of metal to metal contact. The cv axle shouldn't generate any noise. If the bearings are devout in the drivers side it is probably a brake problem. Jack it up and spin the front wheels.
