when i take the radiator panama off of the radiator near is this red gunky build up inside of the radiator. its causing my coup¨¦ to run hotter than normal. it doesnt over steam if im moving but when i stop the temp starts to rise. i changed the thermostat with a bright one. can i get this "red gunk" cleaned out or do i obligation to buy a new radiator?? and what is the red gunk?? thank you contained by advance.
Answers: The red gunk is the remaining dexcool residue. It can be flushed out and i.e. what is needed, be sure to back flush the furnace core as well as they hold been set to clog easily but do verbs up with a reverse flow of verbs water. After you verbs up the cooling system be sure to pressure check the system for leaks up to that time you add the expensive antifreeze. I assume that you will find that the water pump is starting to soak through the release hole behind the stance.
