the motor turned over and over. got no smell of gas from engine. could it be the fuel pump or should i try fuel additive. or try something else
u should try using started fluid if it will not start than it is probably not fuel related
Answers: First engender sure there is spark at the plugs
Then remove the air filter and tip a desert spoonful of NEW petrol into the Carburettor next try to start it
If this makes it run drain as much of the old fuel as you can away and put a COUPLE of gallons of New petrol surrounded by and again tip a little into the carb if you are VERY careful you can trickle fuel into the carb from a leprechaun liquid bottle to keep the engine running long satisfactory for the pump to shove through new fuel ( DO be CAREFUL and don't squeeze lots in it don't necessitate it
This should clear your old fuel out and get some grease round the engine
unfortunately the new unleaded fuel have a short storage life of about 3 months ( you see how several lawn mowers don't start with hoary petrol in them )
Main thing is Do Respect the petrol you are handling use small containers fairly filled and keep the supply can powerfully away from where you are working
Take your time and don't work with ethnic group round you use common sense and all will be very well
