2000 Chev Cavalier?

my 2000 Cav has the 2.4 L 4 cyl and the gas mileage seems to be getting worse. i own given it a tune up and i use midrange gas in it. nothing smaller number. i filled it up this last tuesday and the odo say i have only gone 97 miles and its already down to partly a freakin tank! what the heck could it be? its REALLY baffling me. any help would be GREAT! Also, at hand is a humming noise or some kinda humming noise coming from the gone front tire. i turn right it goes away, i turn left it get a lil louder. tires are up to proper pressure. you can kinda feel the tire vibrating as you drive too. its individual coming from that tire.

Anyone give a hand next to what...

your boom is a bad front wheel carriage, I couldn't tell you why your gas mileage went south on you.

There is a 4 inch long electric...

Colder weather has some to do near it. it take the engine longer to warm up thereby using more gas. You may also be taking somewhat longer to let it warm up some - again a short time more gas. Check your cv joints - the boot may have split and have lost its lubrication. good luck

Why does my vehicle smell so impossible?

i really don't own much data to go on.i would probably voice your gas tank only holds, probably 13-14 gallons.you don't say aloud where you live.if it's cold,it is going to use more gas.so let's make it an even 100 miles at partly your tanks capacity.that would equal 6.5 gallons of gas = for a time over 15 mpg.city driving, cold weather,NOT real-real terrible. as far as the humming noise from your disappeared front tire, my first guess would be a tire that is out of balance.one other article.what is the condition of your air filter? please check that also! thank you and good luck!
Have you notice excessive dark gray or black smoke when you excellerate hard? When our 97 have this problem I replaced the O2 sensor. Idle improved and gas milage went rear legs up. I normally get 33 on the highway.

The echo in the the front is usually a CV joint or a helm bearing. Most alignment shops will check it for free.

Hope this helps.

How could i fit this on my...

First of all, you will not gain any better gas mileage by using higher octane gas in a 2.4 L. Check for a gas filter or maybe someone is stealing your gas. As for the humming noise, it sounds approaching you have a CV joint going out. This should be replaced as soon as possible.

Jiffy Lube?

Answers:    I had the same sports car, and I had issues with the gas quantify all the time. I ran out when it still said a quarter of a reservoir sometimes, and sometimes when I filled it up, the gauge would drop to 3/4 a reservoir within 2 blocks of driving.
And my front end, my struts go pretty quick, at about 60k. When I have them done, all kinds of bolts have worked their way loose.
The car have a great engine, but was possessed otherwise..LOL

You have a hub deportment going out that the noise you hear. Don't use the mid rance gas all you are doing is wasting your money. It could be as simple as a gas trilby. but it could be the pressure regulater, not cheap. you need some one to get the codes out of the computer, that should speak about you what's worry
