I have checked the contacts, the lens & reflector. All clean. No well-mannered. I polished the contacts and added "Dialectric Compound", still dim. I put in the "Silver Star" lamps, and it's STILL dim. Voltage/Amps allllllllll appropriate. No other lights of the vehicle are dim. As a matter of fact, they are fairly bright. And I've had the lights professionally aimed and asked the techy why they're dim and he says that that's only just how Ford is. I'm not accepting this answer. ***Can anyone tell me what is wrong with my vehicle and how to fix it? I live contained by Deer Country and it'd be really great to see the venison before it destroys my ride. Thanks. J
You should check the voltage at the bulb socket with the vehicle running also. It could be a wire explicitly shorting somewhere. I would also try hooking the headlight up to the battery source or the aux. lug on the alternator and see if it is brighter than it is when hooked up like it come from the factory.
Answers: Have they checked your headlight relays? Are you positive that your grounds a re spotlessly clean? Is the amp draw too much for your system? Could be that the bulbs are style too much candl power for your system. Just some Ideas, Good luck!

I hate to say aloud it but there were a couple of model years that ford made where on earth the head lights were horrible and the merely thing you can really do is go to the auto parts store and invest contained by some HID lights at about $50.00 each. My 2000 Expidition and My 99 Superduty both enjoy terrible lights.
