I have a 2000 GMC Sonoma, 4 Cylinder…It’s a work truck that my husband uses on a each day basis. Yesterday, it broke down and I have to tow him a few miles home. Apparently what happened be that he was almost home and it started to bog down, so he give it some gas and it ran for another mile. Then it newly died…he managed to grasp it started again and attempted to make it the rest of the agency home, but it died a few feet latter for good. Once we get it home he tried starting the truck again and you can hear the engine wanting to start (turning over), but it’s like it’s not getting gas. It’s be raining here for a few days and he did say he have to go through some puddles, so we thought conceivably something got raining, but we tried starting the truck again and still nothing. Anyone enjoy any ideas, I’d appreciate the serve?
Answers: after it drys up try starting it again , might be water surrounded by the gas , could be bad fuel , fuel pump going , unpromising fuel filter , on and on
fuel pump is going out? its in the gas reservoir. good luck if your doing it your self. also check your fuel pressure regulator, a hose lying on it pull it bad to see if it is leaking gas if it is replace it.
