2000 VW Jetta engine hullabaloo?

I hear a loud squealing sound from where on earth my timing belt is. It mostly starts when i accelerate while the sports car is in reverse and go away after i drive for a few minutes. Does anyone know what this can be? do i need to replace my timing belt? or does it nouns like a nouns problem?

I hold disk brakes within the front...

Answers:    Might be the tensioner pulley bearing wearing out. When you entail a new timing belt, construct sure they change it along next to the water pump if it's driven by the timing belt too. Most Jettas hold "interference" type engines that bend their valves if the timing belt breaks, so manufacture sure to get it replaced in good time which varies between 60,000 and 100,000 miles depending on your model. Keep your power train warranty contained by effect too.

It may be the tensioner pulley belt wearing out.....I've also noticed Volks Wagon and Audi cars making that loud belt nouns after being contained by a wreck (repared)!
