I have a 2002 Honda Accord "Value Package" and latley it's been getting worse and worse to draw from the hood to release. Last weekend, it got to the point where I have to use a screwdriver as a pry-bar on the cable attached to the release next to the steering column. After I added my windshield-washer fluid, I went to close the hood, and immediately it won't completley latch. It's in the "safety" latch, but but there's still about an inch of "play" and it's clearly not 100% immobilize. Is there a common problem next to an easy fix for this? Or have I be reduced to getting it to a dealer?
