in the morning around 8am it was tremendously cold so i turned on the wipers 2 get the dew/ice off the windshield. i turned it 2 the fastest setting since the windshield wasnt dried on the other hand and the fuse blew on me. the wipers were stuck in the up position. i tried putting 2 bright fuses in the spot and as soon as i turned the key once (so that the motor is still off but the radio works) the fuse blew again. it happened 2 both strange fuses. and i cant put the wipers down myself and i dont want 2 break them. what should i do?
You can also pinch a test meter and measure the amperage draw for that fuse curcuit, it should never exceed the rate fuse listed on the fuse panel. If it does, the motor is bad and wishes to be replaced. Hopefully you kept the receipt and can return it under a parts warranty to where on earth to purchased it, and if a shop replaced it, most will warrantly parts and labor for 6-12 months. Good luck

problem lies in the ''gear box'' part of the wipers..when you switch sour the wipers the dont just stop mid swipe,they PARK..so after its off theres is still power to the park gear..hold a look at how it works and act accordngly...hope this helps

just because you replaced the motor, doesn't mean it isn't the motor, I own replaced many new parts surrounded by cars that just were impossible parts. Do what the previous answer suggests and find out if the fuse operates more than one accessory, if it does unplug the wiper motor, replace the fuse and turn the ignition on. if the fuse does not blow, you know at hand is a short in the wiper motor. If the fuse blows, the problem does not lie surrounded by the wiper motor.
