I just purchased a 1995 Ford Ranger and I stopped to win an oil conversion shortly after picking it up. I was told it be a 4.0 liter V6, but my Dad looked at the engine later and told me it be a 3.0 Liter. Shortly after getting the oil shift, my check engine light come on. Now it's not running well ? Motor is making is whistle and knocking nouns. Could the wrong oil revision caused a problem ? OK . . . you hold permission to call for me an idiot.
Answers: check the oil dipstick when the engine is cold. That will relate you if they filled it too much or didnt compress it enough. Too much grease can damage an engine lately as much as too little. Easy fix though. If they put too much drain it and refill it to the correct height.
