Ok this is probably a really stupid question, but i genuinely dont know how to sort this out...
my sports car just wont start, and hasnt been for resembling over 2 weeks (i went out of town, and my friend tried to use it and it didnt start) now that im put a bet on, it still wont start. Do i need to call my insurance company to come and start it up? and when they do, do i afterwards drive it to a garage straight away? I cant take it anywhere and i dont know what to do...
theres 2 things to try. check to see if your getting spark at the plugs, and check to see if your getting gas at the engine. if its getting good spark and good gas, consequently it should start.
get it towed to a mechanic.
Not sure your insurance company would make that trip. Might be faster and cheaper to call for a tow to the nearest garage.
If it's not starting because of a unmoving battery, I would just enjoy it jumped. If it's cranking over, but still not starting, then your best bet is to own it towed.
assuming you dont have AAA or tow insurance near allstate or statefarm ya may check the battery and starter b4 sinking money into a mechanic...they triple charge for everything unlelss ya know someone Does it have a charge_lights come on?
Does it hold gas_

It's from Japan isn't it...
sry for the s.a. remark but try moving the starter cable around a little if it isn't turning over. if it's a carb. then construct sure it's getting gas
See if someone you know can provide you a jump start just to seize you going. You probably just need a alien battery. If that fails than it might be the alternator. If you are not habituated with any of these terms freshly call the local garage and see if they can send someone.
Answers: After ensuring that the motor has fuel (if you're in a cold climate there's also the possibility of the gas-line person frozen- if that were the case I'd supply some gasline antifreeze), the first thing I would do is try to get someone to boost it. If you don't hold a friend/neighbour to help you can always bid a taxi company (they do it here- not sure if that's universal or not).
Then if that doesn't work:
Have it towed to your repair shop. If it's lower than any type of warranty, call the dealer and ask later what they'd like you to do.
get it towed to a mechanic.
have you tried jump the car off? is it turning over and only not starting? we need more info. If you dont know much I would just own a tow truck take it to a shop for you.
Unless you were within a wreck with your car, your insurance company couldn't fastidiousness less if it runs.
When you say it doesn't start, when you turn the ignition, it go click, and that's it, you've probably got a bad alternator.
If, when you turn the knob it tries to turn over, but doesn't, you might have a bad battery-operated.
Of course, there could be a hundred other reasons it won't start. The best entry you can do is call a tow truck and have it haul to the nearest garage and let them figure it out. Be sure and transport your checkbook and someone who knows about cars, though, or the mechanic's are going to lift you for a ride!

What's a "brain" within a motor?
Are the interior lights coming on, in other words are there signs of a unmoving battery? May be the starter going bad within which case you can usually tap on it beside a screwdriver while trying to crank. Not sure your insurance company would make that trip. No insurance company! This is a job for your local shop with a tow truck..probability are your battery is just unresponsive. by the looks of things you don't know much about changing or charging one yourself so purely get it towed. your insurance company has zilch to do with this. if you know anybody that knows anything almost cars have them look at it you could just carry a jump and they go to a garage or retail store to carry a new one put in that channel you can save money from the tow,,,Unless you were within a wreck with your car, your insurance company couldn't fastidiousness less if it runs.
