The doors on My 2003 honda conformity will not lock or unlock?

When i press the unlock button on my key the doors does not unlock but all the lights do come on. I hear the a jingle in the door like it is attempting to unlock but something is stoping it or slowing it down. When i try to lock it by pressing the switch nothing happens. I am wondering if it is the actuator specifically bad, if so how much is it to repair? and how difficult is it to replace? Thank you in credit.

Engine problem...?

Before looking for a discouraging actuator or switches, if you have an after market alarm system the module could be tripped or going bleak. I have seen like mad of after market alarm systems do this as it fights against the Honda Immobiliser system if wrongly installed.

Check this first.

Is it cold adequate that it is frozen?

Battery Question?

Answers:    I had the same problem (2004 Accord) and took it to the contractor once the key locked up in the door and I thought I would own to go through the trunk. They told me that they needed to replace the door lock actuator which was ridiculously expensive, total near labor was almost 300 bucks (I would have to check but I believe the subdivision was $140 from honda). I don't know how difficult of a repair it is...Hope that helps.

If it sounds like the door locks and next unlocks, you may have a bad door pillar switch for the interior lights. On some cars the doors own to be shut for the door locks to stay locked. If the switch is not working properly or the door latch is out of adjustment that may be the problem. It's easy to check, brand sure the door edges line up flush with the body of the vehicle when shut. Next open and close the doors, one at a time, and make sure the interior muted goes out each time. Have the dome neutral set to the door position if the light has a separate switch on the feathery housing. If the ignition switch has been working noticeably, it can also cause locks to not lock, they have a sensor which tell the system if the key is in the ignition, try a touch WD-40 in the slot for the key.

Is this true more or less jeeps?

If its cold it might just be that, but it could have broke a clip and newly need lubing. Take it to someone and have them steal it apart and see whats happening it shouldnt cost that much.
