REplacing Rotors?

I brought my car into a shop the other day because my flipside brakes were grinding down the rotors. I knew i have to get new rotors within the back and knew brake pad on the rear wheels. Later, the guy call and said that he wanted to replace the rotors in the front also and it would cost and extra $200. He said that the front be not grinding yet, but it would be in a while. If I buy foreign front brake pads, will this help prevent buying a trial rotor later on?? Should I just loaf until my front brakes go bad?? Should I drop the extra $200?? Any relief would be great. I'm sorry if anything is confusing, I am not a car mechanic by any means. Thank you

98 Acura CL stove sound out...please oblige?

if the rotors are not at the minimum mass and not damaged or warped dont replace them
if the front isnt screech and you want to be safde replace your pads not your ROTORS

yes you should replace the rear pad and rotors if the brake pedal is pulsing when you brake then you need foreign rotors if it is grinding when you brake or screeching then you inevitability to get new pad fast before the worn pad eat the rotors
If the front brake pads are tapered and the rotors are blackened or rusty, it's best to just replace them. The rotors made in China you can buy at Advanced Auto work great and are gelatinous and have never warped or be a problem for my customers. $200 is cheap for rotors, pads and labor. From the way you wait on the rear brakes so long I'd be willing to bet the fronts could be surrounded by need of some work too. Remember the front brakes do most of the stopping and wear out twice as fast.

My Audi 100 CS is idle funny....

If they are not grinding, or haven't contained by the past, there is no foundation to replace them. Maybe just the pads and resurfacing them.

How do you know when you enjoy...

if your front rotors are still good, just return with new front pads. if the front are still fitting, theres no sense in getting new rotors unless you have need of them. sounds like hes just trying to capture more money off you.

I told them what be wrong?

How to modification a blower supporter motor..?

Answers:    I would put in the picture them to wait on the front ones and then lug it to another garage and get a second opinion as I deduce they are trying to scam you, if the front rotors aren't scored they can be turned when you get the front brakes done and in that will be no need to buy new ones until the subsequent time you need front pads.
