i am geting an early 80's f150 and debating to obtain the 351 modified or a 460. i want to get the 460 because it have alot of power but the gas mpg sucks so i was going to put things on the engine the relieve the gas mpg. or should i get the 351. which would be the best to get hold of. should i aslo get a current tranny when i get a fresh engine.
Answers: Unless you just want a crap load of more motor the 351 should do fine. MY dad have a 1976 Ford F150 with the 351..Damn strong truck as I remember.
