check the oil, fluid levels, survey yer ask, especially if its a 4 cylinder...my husband refers himself as a shade tree mechanic; he says you should take it to a shop so they can hook it up to a computer and it will display codes directing towards the issue. this is usually a free diagnosis. also~try replacing your gas panama and then unplugging your battery, while un plugged turn on the lights and tolerate it drain out, then replug battery and adjectives should be fine. these vans are notorious for small evap leaks. Answers: Any number of issues can throw a malfunction lamp on. Mainly due to emission related issues though. Something like an o2 sensor going bad to too various engine misfires in sequence. You'll need to be more specific or gain is scanned at a shop.
