Please relieve me beside tire sizes?

I am accustomed to sizes in this format:

265/75/R16

I'm looking for some new wheel and see many ads referring to 31 inch tires, etc. Is in attendance a way to convert a tire that is 265/75/R16 into inches so I can see the equivalents?

Cheating auto mechanics?

it's to a degree in inches already; 16 refers to the rim size in inches. the 265 refers to the tread thickness in mm. the 75 refers to the sidewall height expressed as a percentage of the tread thickness.

If you see tires advertised in inches they are usually truck or Suv Tires and usually for past its sell-by date road use.
