I want to know if this is normal or not and if its not normal how can it be avoided. I hold a Automatic Transmition SUV a Nissan, and when im parked on a hill, upwards or downwards and i switch from park to Reverse i can't switch easily i hold to pull the stick harder than usual to switch the gear and when it does switch it makes a loud dang type of nouns from underneth.
Is that normal? or does it damage the transmition? My transmition fluid is full, the sports car is brand new its a 08. If its not normal how can i avoid it?

You can stop doing that to it, though. When you park on a hill, set the parking brake first, good and tight. Then put it within park. The pin won't be under such pressure if the brakes are holding it before you put it within park.
I belive its just the parking pin popping out cause theres alot of mass on it so its the pin poppin out its normal all cars will craft that sound if your on a hill.

Answers: its mostly feasible because of parking on a hill. it is a good impression to use your parking brake(if theres a curb, let your suv roll back and rest on the curb so its not using the nouns as a brake and resting inself on the gears)if there is no curb, as you come to a stop(dont put it in park) merely hold the brake pedal and push in the parking brake so the suv wont roll after you put it in park. as for the jingle and having to pull not easy. it will sooner or later cause problems.(example- your gear shifter cable snapping and/or cause ur transmission to slip from worn gears) hope this helps

It is middle-of-the-road - there's a pin in the transmission that is to say holding it on that hill. It's under ENORMOUS pressure. You did that. You put within the pin in to hold it when you put it in park. That's what park is. When you verbs (reallly hard) it comes loose with a bang.
