88 f-250 wont start?

it has a spanking new coil, battery, wires, panama, rotor, installed and it has fresh spark plugs (not in yet) the truck turns over fine. it have fuel at the fuel rail. but i dont contemplate it is getting spark. what else could cause it to not start? condenser conceivably?

Answers:    Ignition modules on that vehicle have a tendancy to go amiss due to thermal extremes. It's easy to remove-two screw hold it on, and Autozone'll bench test'em for free.
BTW, its a small, boxlike attachment wired to the back of the distributor body.
You check for spark by removing a plug and shorting the tip by placing it adjoining a good ground-like a chassis bolt. Then look for a solid, blue spark arcing to the ground while turning over the ignition. No spark=possible bad ignition module.

I own a '96 avalon and own...


No condenser on this truck. If it for sure isn't getting spark it is probably the elctronic ignition module. On this truck it is most expected inside the distributor.
