Answers:    A ford 4.6 has cylinders numbered as follows: starting passenger side front, to pay for, 1234. Drivers side bank, from front to backbone, 5678. The cylinder in grill, number 8, is the rearmost on the drivers side. The coil failure you suspect is pretty adjectives and would be my starting point as well. The suggestion to move the suspect coil and see if the miss follows is right on the money, try that earlier you throw a new coil at it. Good luck I believe you are on the right track. Turn the M.I.L. bad with a scan tool and thrilled motoring.
