OR SOMETHING ELSE?? ANY INFO WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED. THANK YOU D.TERRY

Does anyone know anything I can do...

Answers:    Your description of the rolling idle and backfire out the intake suggests the engine is running lean and fuel starved. It would probably even out temporarily if you sprayed starting fluid surrounded by the engine air intake, but wear sanctuary glasses to dodge those back fires. Then since you vote the fuel pressure acts up contained by cold weather, assuming your fuel filter is good, let's guess you may have need of a new fuel pump contained by your gas tank if it's never be replaced. I'd replace it for sure in that covering, along with the fuel filter.

Which cold nouns intake is better? airaid...

Bob have it right!
Sure sounds like a fuel filter or pump.
