Answers:    yes, your problem is more than likely of late an old mobile, or a battery that have been drained too lots times. The solution is you need a untried battery.

If you cant afford a latest battery, the other chance is to buy sulfuric acid and distilled wet. First shake the battery around material good to take any material contained by the battery loose. afterwards pop the drain plugs and pour the old sharp out of the battery. afterwards refill the mobile with a partially and half mixture of acerbic and distilled water, after charge for a couple hours and see if it holds charge.

Be very far-sighted the acid will burn holes contained by your clothes and if on your skin long enough will do duplicate to your skin.

It is not likely your alternator, because if you can fly start the car and remove the jumper, and the car keep running it means the alternator is producing plenty power to run the car, but as soon as you turn it rotten you can not start it again, because the battery doesn't hold charge.

If the vehicle dies soon after disconnecting the jumpers, minus you turning it off consequently it would be the alternator.
