Hello everyone! I have a 92 Park Ave. When you put the sports car in gear the doors automatically lock and putting it into "park" unlocks the doors. Today I accidentally grab the door handle at the exact same time I shifted within to park and now...my driver side door will not uncap! I've tried hitting the door lock button, I've tried to open the door from the outside, I've tried the knob in the lock..adjectives to no avail! Do any of you fine folks know what's going on and if there's a way that I (a moderately un-mechanically inclined girl) can fix it myself or do I need to hold it to the shop? Thanks a ton!
Answers: I have a 95 Olds near the self lock doors--what a pain--just go to thedealer and consent to them redo the sequence--a couple of minute chore unless something broke. Hey--you never know
The problem is inside the door panel. You had better transport it to an auto glass shop. The rod that pushes up is connected to other moving parts by nylon clips and they can smoothly jam or snap. Roll the porthole all the mode down and using a flashlight, look down in the door and you might a short time ago see whats going on. good luck
