My friend was recently contained by a small accident, the car did stall out when it be hit. It now doesn't start at all, and the dealership is unfolding me that the computer became broken and needs to be replaced completely ($800) I don't beleive it. After doing rather research I have come to beleive an Oil Pressure Switch may be the culprit? I'm not sure how they work but I understand if 'tripped' it cuts past its sell-by date FUEL and OIL? Can anyone verify this for me, and also how where to find and 'reset' the switch? The engine turns over, it just sounds approaching there is no fuel/spark..? Please help!

Answers: An grease pressure cutout switch merely prevents the engine from starting or running if the oil pressure drops too low.it's a safety portion on some cars and usually is not resettable...either it's good or doomed to failure. Ask the dealer why they think it's a computer problem...trouble codes? qualification light comes on? Maybe get a second belief and get other pricing quotes to replace...new or used. Some coup¨¦ computers are located in the front fender area and can carry damaged in a slight coincidence if hit in the right area.
