I have a 97 pontiac bonneville. when i start the engine up the grease pressure's fine util it gets warm up then the syringe drops. It doesnt go adjectives the way into the red it newly fluctuates right over it at idle. Would replacing the pcv stopcock and putting a thicker grade grease do anygood? Or could it be the oil pressure switch malfunctioning?
Sorry, the engine is warring out.
As the engine warms up, the grease gets thinner and flows away from the internal components faster, loosing grease pressure.
The basic problem lies beside the connecting rod and main bearing.
The good communication is you can use heavier oil close to 20/50 or straight 30w. You can also try Rislone Engine restore or other brands to improve the grease pressure, Just follow the directions.
If it helps, after your on the right track.
ps it's not impossible that the oil pressure sending component is bad, but it would more than predictable be leaking grease out the top or sides.

Um....did you check your grease levels?
This happen on my caprice when I was running out of grease (it leaked).
Answers: High mileage cars usually hold engine wear which produces lower oil pressure when warm up. You could have the pressure checked at a shop next to a good powered gauge tap into the oil switch port to cause sure it's not a bad sending component or dash gauge---they did own problems with those unit. Could just be the engine bearing wearing out or the pump. I recommend switching to a heavier grade of grease like 10W-40, 15W-40 or conceivably 20W-40 or 50---you may have to play around a bit to receive the right grade grease to bring the pressure up--- and I also recommend you add a product every grease change of 3000 miles call Engine Oil Supplement or EOS which can be found at most GM dealers parts dept's---it's a much better product than most aftermarket grease additives and was developed by GM engineers for superior lubrication. Don't forget that tallying thicker oil will make happen your gas mileage to drop a bit and may be very knotty to start the engine in colder weather.
I enjoy pictures immediately. Can anyone...
