the other day it iced over pretty bad. the vehicle is a 2 door gt. i went to open the door, and when i pulled up on the knob it clicked like it was going to get underway but wouldnt. i figured that it was frozen around the door preserve, so i grabbed the top of the door and pulled and it opened. when i go to close it, it wouldnt latch, like the latch was froze. so i locked the door and closedit. it latched closed. the subsequent day the door opened and colsed fine 4 times, afterwards it wouldnt open. i tried both handles, locking and unlocking inside and out. I even pulled the door panel past its sell-by date and grabbed the lock bar and door manipulate bar to open them and zilch. the door just feels similar to it is locked but its not. please help
thanks Sounds like the latch itself be damaged when it was open the first time. When you closed it the rest of it decided to let stir. There is no easy way to obtain this off now. you will hold to try and manually force the grabs to open since you already hold the door panel off the grabs will be complicated to get to because of the seats but it can be open. Once you do this you need to have another latch handy because this one is trash. Hammer and small pry or screw driver is adjectives it takes to get it expand. Good luck.
make sure it didn't break or bend the latch or the locking mechanism on it,sometimes when their cold similar to that and you open them the latch wont re-set,and it could have bent it,if so you may enjoy to replace it,that happens sometimes when its real cold ,well brought-up luck with it.
just gotta look at the hanger and latches and see if anything is broke or bent...?

Answers: sounds close to the rod to the latch is streched out, or the plastic snap holder is broke and the rod has come loose from the latch mechanizm. you will have to procure to the latch from the inside, pull the trigger and use some force to get it uncap. the latch mechanizm is probably damaged.
