`92 Pontiac Gand Am,, Most any 92ish GM mid size vehicle,I involve to know how to disable,shut stale ABS?

Can i pull a fuse ,is the fuse under the hood? Where can it be Unplugged? Rear disappeared wheel locks up With a THUMP every time brakes are applied. Shoes are new & installed right and verbs, Drums checked out fine, bleed the lines, Never leaked fluid, and I just replaced joystick cylinder and it,s still locks intermid. as ABS activates on the rear departed wheel only. WHY WHY WHY?!!? Not my sports car but my problem, What a pile of junk! I have worked on that sports car constantly over the last 3 years, Allways some thing modern to fix

If memory serves me...ABS activates underneath hard braking and lite braking won't make it grip..and when it does...you would hear the motor on the ABS unit activate and get the impression it in the pedal. Theres gotta be some other reason. That's adjectives I can contribute with the info you provided. Good luck.

Answers:    Your brake drums are out of round. Buy new ones (don't get the frail ones turned).

ABS doesn't lock the wheel, it attempts to prevent the wheel from locking. Yes, you can verbs a fuse to disable it, but that is not going to fix the real issue.

You are working on a 16 year weak car, that obviously wasn't taken attention to detail of. There is bound to be a lot of problems.

EDIT: If you already know what is wrong, why are you asking the question? If you reason it is the ABS, pull the fuse.
