p.s they don't hafe to look new Do you realise that you just asked the same point twice? Like I told you before man, unless you don't wanna buy a new set of wheel for under 300, your only other picking besides refinishing them is to go to a bodyshop and get silver touch up paint. Degrease the areas that hold those black holes, sand them down lightly if needed and just touch it up. Make sure it's above 60 degree F or else the paint might not stick very economically.
When I was in Jobcorps for auto body, my guru used some heavy duty acid on a students vehicle for him it really worked good to clean up his wheel. But it wasn't any thing that you could buy at auto zone.Sorry that probably did not help you to much but possibly you can ask around for what type of acid would do that.

Answers: O.K. bud I want a best answer for this one , you can receive some acid spray at auto zone that will work great and make your mags look close to new , go near and in the auto cleaning section you will find a bunch of different cleaners for mag wheel look at the ingredients and pick any one with , I believe its hydrosulfiric acid , it have not been out for all that long for use by the nonspecific public but it is now it runs about $5.99 and is powerfully worth it. It comes in a spray bottle.
