I took my car up to get my grease changed and they noticed resevoir was completely insincere. They put a whole gallon of antifreeze in my coup¨¦ (a 96 dodge avenger v6).. that was yesterday.. and today the amount of antifreeze in the resevoir is below the "LOW" string.. I checked where the engine coolant cap is and that seem to be fine and I checked on my garage floor and there's none on the floor.
I only drove my car in the order of half a mile from the meineke to my house between yesterday and today.. and I checked it right when I got home
Any philosophy or suggestions?
sometimes you have to check it after you drive it. after it warms up well brought-up, check the resovoir and fill it to the hot mark, and later check it in the morning, it should be at the low mark, but thats ok, it should come vertebrae to the full mark after it gets hot adequate.
Yeah have a shop diagnose it earlier you blow the engine, if you already havent.
Sounds like your vehicle has a bad leader gasket or cracked head. The antifreeze is going out your tail pipe
Fill it up again and drive it again. check it the subsequent day and see if it is still up. They may have chock-a-block the resevoir and not the radeator, so when you drove it and it got up to operating temp. it sucked it out of the resevoir.

Radiator shops own equipment to do a pressure test on the cooling system AND the radiator cap. This should be your first check if you see no leak anywhere.
The coolant COULD be going out the tailpipe as a result of a bad head gasket. The pressure assessment will tell if this is what's wrong.

Answers: check your oil dipstick, if it looks like a milkshake next your problem is your headgasket. that is a bit rare though. so after you rule this out. check your front passenger runner for wetness chances are its leaking out of your electric fire core. also when u check your coolant turn on the car and make sure its warm up, the level goes up when its hot and go low when cold. so if u filled it up when it was hot and checked it when its cold in attendance will be a difference.
usually if you have a leak and you cant bring up to date where its coming from, usually its the heater core. usually its below the dash, on the passenger side. the give away is a raining carpet.
step 1. make sure u check coolant level when cold and when car is already warmed up
step 2. check grease dipstick to make sure coolant isnt mixing in beside engine oil
step 3. check front passenger carpet to engender sure it is bone dry.
also make sure your reservoir doesnt have a small hole within it or something like that.

Then if that is not the problem keep an eye on the marine level in between for a bit. If you own not been checking your water even at every 3,000 miles then it is possible that you have of late lost it for some time and need to keep a better eye on it.
I sure would not be worried in the order of a head gasket as your mechanic would of found that as a problem and notified you of it. They are basically keeping you up to date on the condition of the car so you will be able to hang on to an eye on as stated above.
Best of luck

Check to see if your reservoir is not leaking first. Perhaps you hold a small undeterred hair line crack contained by the reservoir. Then if that is not the problem keep an eye on the marine level in between for a bit. Did you happen to spy any white smoke coming out the tail pipe? If so Its a blown head gasket or head. Check your grease on your dip stick. If it looks muddy , antifreeze is getting into your oil and mixing together into a sludge. it the head.
