if you were to drive a vehicle that was going to be completely in-operable the severely next year due to the transmission going out that would be obvoius to a competant auto mechanic right? I took my saloon in and they said motor mounts and drive belts and did the work and charged me $800 and I salaried and then i departed and it drove worse after than before and the subsequent day they towed it final in and told me the nouns went out and it would be another $1000 to fix. Shouldn't they own known that earlier? It would not have be worth it to me to fix all that if I know this would be the end result. My fault/risk or should they enjoy known?

Transmissions can go out adjectives of a sudden. And sometimes they take a while to completely stop working. For example, roughly a week ago I got into a truck beside my dad and when we took off it feel like something be hanging up on one of the wheel, like a brake be locked up now and next. I got out and checked adjectives the brakes and they were fine. We took rotten again and the problem was still within. So I crawled under the truck and checked the complete joints to find no problem. Rather than indiscriminate it we had the truck towed and it turned out to be the nouns. Had we continued on it would probably have done mode more damage.
But sometimes your vehicle may slip when varying gears. Or it may take to long to be in motion from one gear or another.
So when you take the sports car in to be checked you own to be able to describe what the saloon is doing and really the mechanic should drive the car sooner to try to track down the problem.
It never occurred to me that the problem we be having would be motor mounts or drive belts. I don't know what a drive belt is. Maybe some of the smaller cars hold them. The only belt I know of is the one which go around the pulley and turns the power steering, air conditioning, and other trappings.
I guess if you had told me going on for your car acting resembling something was locking up on it I would own checked the drive train first. I don't know why I would check a belt. But I don't know what you told the mechanic about the coup¨¦ when you took it in for repairs. You're correct that they may hold fixed the wrong problem. But it's also possible it needed to be fixed and the transmission be about to die.
