Auto stereo system lately quit working?

Does anyone know how to remove a 3 function stereo system from the dash of a Mazda Tribute? It have a 6 disc cd changer, AM/FM and cassete player. It just stopped working and it seem like it is getting no power but it is because I checked fuses etc and also have it checked at the dealer but they want to merely R&R it and have me buy a unsullied one and I really dont want to spend that much. It is no longer under warranty. I tried to remove it from my taste but can't seem to numeral out how to get it out. I get the plastic strips out from along side the unit and enjoy taken the knobs bad but I don't see anyway to get it to come loose. I am wondering if the obverse plate comes off but I cant seem to be to release it. Logic tells me within is something that needs to come rotten from under where on earth the control knobs be but I just cant see anything near that can be removed.
I'm also wondering if the unit is fastened underneath the taste somehow but cant even get in close proximity that area. Any tips from auto stereo gurus?

Answers:    it may be worth going around to a vehicle stereo buisness. Some cars require special tools to extract the unit, and within having a chat next to the guy will help surrounded by whats wrong. they probably know from experience.

The special tool slides from thefront down the sides of the unit and releases clips so that the element pulls out from the front. (dont know if yours is like this, in recent times generally).

If you lucky they probably extract it for you for nothing.
