I dont normally transport much notice of my amp meter,but lately After driving for over 6 hours through and over mountains, meaning the engine be working at high revs surrounded by low gear, I noticed the amp meter be showimg +30 amps. for several hours.. I was worried, but subsequent day things looked "normal" again. It be day time and i be using no accesories. What does it mean??

My hunch is the extra workload on the engine increased your engine temp, and hence increased the temp of alternator's internal regulator. The extra warmness caused the ouput voltage to shoot up and you vitally started roasting the battery (had you pulled over while this be happening I bet you would hold heard the bitter inside the battery boiling).
