Bad jumpstart? Audio won't work.?

I have a 1996 Lexus gs300 which until yesterday was surrounded by tip-top condition. A friend of mine had a dead freestyle, so I jumped [no pun] to the rescue and used my car to jumpstart his (a Rover 400). Ever since, my audio won't work. The speakers are creaking and popping adjectives over the place. Even when radio/cd are turned off. When I do turn it on, there no nouns from the radio/cd... just popping noises, some of 'm relatively loud.
Could we have messed up the jumpstart? Will this problem resolve itself if I just set off it to rest for a bit?
If audio needs repairing, how much would that roughly cost me? Also, should I be worried that more systems may be affected? I'm not a optimistic bunny as I was about to p/x my vehicle and this may seriously affect what money I can get for my car.

Answers: I enjoy seen this before beside my vett .Some how when I jump the other car I kill my computer in my car.So I have to buy a new one but you can try this to reset the car.Take the pos terminal past its sell-by date the batt for 20 sec and put it back on.
