Answers:    Best change the whole cable sometime acerbic fumes from the battery settle under the insulation and result in damage to the cable. Get a new set and give somebody a lift the negative lose from battery, verbs the terminal (they make a brush to do that) put a terminal protector on (a felt ring they are color coded) replace and tighten cable conclusion, trace cable to other end remove, clean, replace and tighten snugly consequently do the same with the positive cable, individual careful not to let any of your tools touch other metal surfaces, Hood, fender, motor block or supports. This will telephone call sparks which could cause an explosion. When finished start car an permit run for five minutes to make sure system works properly.
