Hi I've got a BMW 325i sport and I've be having this problem, freestyle goes flat after a afternoon. I've installed a new freestyle and it happend again, heard a boom near the abs system, relays going bad. Has any one got an Ider what it could be.
Help would be appreciated.

Answers: The mobile in any vehicle needs a constant top up charge from the alternator. It sounds close to the alternator is not giving the right output to keep the battery-operated charged.
The simple test is to connect a volt meter to the freestyle terminals, beside the engine running you should have a reading of above 13volts. If you own lower then its time for a clean alternator.
Don't get one for BMW as it will cost a fortune, as at Halfords for a service exchange part. Expect to pay around lb120 for the alternator.
