Battery Problems next to 4x4. Keeps draining overnight!?

Using a test bulb within a series with O/P of freestyle I get a pulsing low glare until I take out the 10A fuse feed the courtesy and door lights which stops the lamp pulsing, it later just glow dimly. If I then disconnect the alternator, the storm lantern goes out totally. Is this a sign of
A) A problem on the door & ignition push button light circuit
B) a problem near the alternator bypassing current through the rectifier
C)...Any suggestions of your own?

Answers: Sounds like you enjoy a bad voltage regulator. Most credible it's inside the alternator so you'll have to replace it. If it's an elder truck the regulator is external and will only cost something like $15. Just went through like thing w/ my neighbors truck. (voltage regulater on it be external so it was a cheap fix.) to check this unhook the neg. batt. treminal and put a exam meter between the cable and battery. If it doesn't read "0" the regulator is unpromising.
