Brake lights stuck on (peugeot)?

ok when i put my key within ignition and turn it round but not fire it up the rear brake lights come on. when i am driving they are next on constantly, so people can't enlighten when i'm braking.

does anyone have any concept as to what it could be. mum thinks a fuse might hold gone, but why that would make the lights stay on i don't know

I put channel too much grease within...

Answers:    Hi here,
There are so many reason that the lights are stuck on, no reason to check the fuse as we know the lights are working so power circuit is ok, brake buoyant switch is under the glove box at the passenger side and they can be knock by passengers foot and this causes the switch to operate surrounded by the on position and then the brake lights illuminate, stay on. Another point could be, later/newer 206's have fitted what is call a bcm, body control module and these can pick-up a faulty bulb surrounded by a circuit and when detected will cause other bulbs to table lamp up, so check that all other lights work at the backside, if all other feathery operate correctly then more imagined to be propblem with switch at go by side.
Hope this helps.
Cheers

Dimmer Switch Help!?

it is a short contained by the wiring that connects the sensor to innitiate the lights on a pressure switch on your brake pedal , capture this looked at. it will probably have dirt within the pressure switch , or be defective.
