I'm thinking of getting a Cadillac Seville or getting a Volkswagen Passat. I like that the Seville have a V8 engine and is a big car. But I similar to that the Passat is economical and is easy to repair. Which should I go and get?
Answers: I assume you're talking roughly speaking older used cars.
My experience next to my son's used cars tells me that the Caddy will be easier to work on, and parts will be cheaper. Those weak V8's run forever if you keep grease in them.
Yes the VW will be easier on gas.
If you drive seriously, the VW might be the better choice. For low mileage, I'd take the Cadillac.
