How hard would it be to change a camshaft sensor on a 97 pontiac august am. 3.1L. Im pretty sure the sensor is down by the oil pan, but where on earth is the other end going to plug into? prolly seems approaching a dumb question but i want to try and do it myself
Answers: no, the crankshaft position sensor is down by the oil vessel. The camshaft position sensor is located underneath the upper intake manifold (plenum) and will require some digging to access it. Have a look if your lower intake manfiold gasket is leaking while you're at hand, they are a VERY common problem. best of luck!
