I have a 1994 Aerostar next to a 3.0L V6 with in the order of 160,000 Miles, I just purchased it and be replacing the radiator and flushing the coolent and the coolent appears to be very infirm and brown. Is there a providence this can destroy my organizer gasket which appears to be in devout working order in a minute. If this destroys my headgasket how difficult is it to replace without taking the motor out of the van. and is here any internet sites that will assist with this procedure.....Any abet is most appreciated
Answers: If your gasket isn't leaking in a minute, there is totally little chance it will overrun after a flush.
Use a proper cooling system flush and flush until clean.
Always hold an eye on the temp gauge while flushing and don't run the engine in need a full radiator.
Follow the directions on the can of flush detergent.
If you can, flush before replacing the radiator.
i enjoy seen "radiator flush" damage aluminum systems, just flush it beside water, and top up with coolant, don't bother risking it...
