I drive a 99 chevy cavalier. Recently over the second couple of months my car have been making a whining nouns, like it's crying when I step on the gas. It give the impression of being it's been harder to expedite. When it shifts into the next gear, the whinning go down, but I can still hear it. I know I have a minor grease leak that I am going to enjoy fixed, but does anyone know why the car may be whining when I get going?
Thanks

Sounds like it may be a belt slipping. Better take the belts checked and see if they need to be replaced. If a belt breaks you own far bigger problems. Be sure to run it by a licensed mechanic to be sure. That oil filter may also be a problem if oil is cause the belt to lose traction.
