I took my car to be worked on about a week ago. I drive a 91 Oldsmobile Calais near about 115000 miles. Here is what was going on...
The car sometimes would stall out when I had to stop too long at red lights and dawdle. It would always start right back up. There would at times be a slight revving nouns if I tried to accelerate too quickly. But what drove me to the shop be this:
I went out to start the car and it purely flat out wouldn't start. The battery wasn't dead. That be obvious. We even tried jumping it, in recent times for kicks... no luck. The engine would start making noise close to it was just nearly to start, then right when you thought it would... it "choked out."
I took it to the shop. The said the battery wires be stripped/loose. They replaced them. They also replaced my old battery. I reason that was all they did. Then the coup¨¦ started. But I noticed that to start it I had to BARELY turn the knob, or the car would make that "choking" hubbub. I didn't care...
check wiring, vacuum lines, fuel pressure.
try cleaning the thottle body! Go buy some throttle body cleaner at your auto store.
Hope this helps - matt
there are so oodles things that could be wrong. the most simple thing I can think of is since you replaced the wires is to do the following. look at your coup¨¦ battery, there are screw on the top. take a wrench to tighten the screws down. I enjoy a theory that the wires are not fully connected. this might be why you are getting the choking. if that does not work we will just enjoy to try again.
Answers: A bottle of crap for the gas tank isn't going to facilitate despite what the other person thinks. Without mortal able to see and actually hear the sports car, it is impossible to accurately diagnose the problem. Just take it back and see what your mechanic say. They seem to be trying to be fair to you. Things do begin on a 17 year old car near over 100K.

2. The die out and hard starting can be caused by allot of issue enjoy you ever changed the fuel cap. also that car have a fuel filter in the tank on the electric pump. When you influence it chokes out and revs up at a stop is that when you are stopped and the engine revs up with out the car moving
all right sounds like you have a fuel supply problem any fuel pump or filters injectors.as far as your heater problem it could hold been due to the lack of proper eltc. from the mobile cables being lose and once you get the right ampage to the heater it blew either a fuseable correlation or just took a crap on ya it happens sometimes next to eltc problems...

Holly you took you car to the shop because it would not start. It still will not start so they did not fix you car. They did some repaires but that did not fix you saloon. Take it back and stand you ground. There are a lot of things it could be but in that is not reason to be confusing you now next to all of that. It like using a shotgun approach and trying to cover adjectives bases. As to you heated, again let them check it out. That choking swish bother me so when they say your car is fixed, start it a couple of time be for going away the shop.check wiring, vacuum lines, fuel pressure.
