Hey guys,
I just bought a ford taurus and it have been driving fine for a week next I found out that the tank that holds the radiator coolant have a crack in it. i brought it to the peddler and they fixed it no problem.
ever since they fixed that, ive been audible range a screeching nouns. at first i thought it might have be some fluid and it would eventually wear off. but no such luck. though it have been bucketing since ive had that fixed. I am wondering if anyone could relate me what it could be. here are some details...
the sound is approaching a screeching uproar that occasionally goes away when i hit the gas.
i devise the sounds worse when its wet out.
the nouns seems to be going at a sure rate (so i am assuming it is a belt, but not sure which one).
do you guys think this is something i should achieve checked out ASAP or do you think I should continue til its dry and see if i still hear the noise? I live surrounded by san diego so we usually dont get much precipitation
Answers: It sounds like you any have a enthusiast belt or a serpentine belt that is slipping. Check your belts and replace them if compulsory.
Hope this helps!!
it most promising has something to do near your belt i would go more towards the tensioner requirements replacement along with the belt.... its most probable the car have this problem when you bought it and just added belt dressing so it would faint down for a couple of weeks.
