Since I am a lady, I don't grasp car termonology sometimes.
Ok here's the grill...What is a "tierod"
The guy said that I need to capture it fixed. Would it be safe to drive otherwise or will it mess up the vehicle if it isn't fixed??
How much does it roughly cost to get this "tierod" fixed at most places??
Answers: The tie rods on the front appendage are part of the steering linkage/assembly. They save your wheels pointing within the same direction while you are driving. If a tie rod let go while you're driving (breaks or separates) it can be catastrophic as your wheel point in independent directions and can effect your car to flip - at the greatly least skid unchecked. If you trust the mechanic - have the tie rod changed. Depending on the vehicle - the errand will cost about $125 beside an alignment. Suggest you get it fixed.
Correct more or less the tie rod ends versus the tie rods - the ends are what usually go bleak unless you damaged the front ending of the car. Get another judgment and ask the mechanic if the tie rod or just the tie rod conclusion is bad and shift from there.
the tierod is a mostly horizontal railing that connects the two front wheels for steering. I wouldn't mess around too long if it requirements replacing. Unless you hit something witn your car I dont' see why you'd inevitability it replaced. Typically the tierod ends need to be replaced. You may want to achieve a second opinion.
